Community Partnership Proposal

Preserving history. Inspiring learning. Strengthening community.

An invitation to partner

The Hiram Rosenwald School Museum invites businesses, schools, churches, civic groups, and community members to partner with us in preserving local history and creating meaningful educational experiences for future generations.

Together, we can honor the legacy of Rosenwald education while building connections across our community.

About the museum

Built in 1930, the historic Hiram Rosenwald School reflects an important chapter in the educational history of the community. Established as a museum in 2005, the Hiram Rosenwald School Museum preserves and shares this legacy through historical interpretation, tours, community gatherings, and educational programming.

Ways to partner

  • Event sponsorshipSupport community events, heritage celebrations, youth activities, and public programs through funding or in-kind contributions.
  • Volunteer serviceProvide individuals or teams to assist with museum programs, visitor experiences, outreach, and approved preservation projects.
  • Donations and in-kind supportContribute supplies, equipment, printing, professional services, or financial gifts for museum priorities.
  • Community outreachHelp promote tours, events, volunteer opportunities, and the museum's mission through your networks.

Partnership terms and governance

Participation as a partner, sponsor, donor, or volunteer does not confer membership on the Museum's Board of Directors or any committee, nor does it provide voting, governance, or decision-making authority. No permanent board or committee position is offered or implied by this proposal.

Any board or committee appointment must be considered separately and approved under the Museum's bylaws and established governance procedures. Any such appointment is subject to the applicable term, renewal, and removal provisions; it is not guaranteed by a partnership.

Each approved partnership will have a written start date and end date, agreed activities, and designated contacts. A partnership does not renew automatically; any extension requires written approval by authorized Museum representatives. This proposal is an invitation to discuss a partnership, not a binding commitment.

What partners can expect

We aim to build mutually beneficial relationships through clear communication, meaningful service opportunities, and appropriate recognition of contributions. Specific activities, sponsorship recognition, and responsibilities will be agreed upon with each partner before commitments are made.
